Dua lipa, a British singer/songwriter born August 22, 1995, in London. She signed her first contract to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album reached the top 3 spot at the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. These included Be the one I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa was honored with her Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in many countries. Dua lipa was born on the 22nd August 1995 in London as the daughter of Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. The ancestors of her can be traced back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Her grandparents were historians as well. Her siblings are Rina and Gjin. Lipa's father, the guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan group Oda has influenced her in music. The family she lived in, where Lipa's father was still playing music. He performed his own compositions as well as songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police. Lipa started singing at the age of was five years old. Her record deal to Warner Bros. Records was signed in the year 2014. In August of 2015, her debut single New Love came out.
