Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American as well as a Canadian artist and singer. She has produced more than 20 studio albums. The songs of DiFranco are classified as folk or alternative rock. However, they also have influences from hip hop, jazz and punk. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist legend and a Grammy award winner. Being one of the first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco created her own record label. The parents of DiFranco, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were students at the same school. Her father had Italian roots and her mother was born in Montreal. 32 Flavors is a song that was written by as well as performed by Ani DiFranco. The song is from her album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio album. It was also featured on the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was announced that she would be hosting a three day workshop at an Louisiana plantation for slaves. It was postponed however, some (including the newspaper) failed to consider it a gesture of regret. DiFranco issued an additional apology just a few weeks later.
