Niykee, who has had an eventful few years, including being selected by Snoop to perform with Snoop at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule despite this. The songwriting process is a source of inspiration for hopeful producers. Niykee listens constantly to music and comes across beats that spark ideas. "I'll be able to discern within the first 5 seconds if it's a good beat. Once I've a melody in my brain I'll begin writing immediately." While I'm on my porch and play guitar, my lyrics simply come out and can be done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee's pain in the past provides endless sources of ideas. She says that even when she's not writing about things that have actually happened the pain through her childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter find it's way into her music. This influences my music and adds more profund significance. For me, this is the key to success.
