sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was originally born July 6, 1946 in Hell's Kitchen as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone. He's the child of the Italian born Francesco "Frank" Stallone Sr who worked as a hairdresser. Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Due to complications during birth, Sylvester's left side was paralyzed. This led to his famed "snarling" speech, slurred words and distinctive appearance. Stallone spent some of his formative years in foster care as a result of the volatile relationship between his parents. The couple split later. Stallone took classes in drama at American College in Switzerland, prior to moving to the University of Miami. Stallone left school to pursue acting in New York City.
